Multibit Classic contact page

Need help recovering a Multibit Classic or Multibit HD wallet? KeychainX has recovered old and forgotten Bitcoin wallets since 2017. Email keychainx@protonmail.com with a description of your situation and we will tell you honestly whether recovery is realistic before any work begins.

Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by KEYCHAINX AG, a Swiss wallet-recovery company registered in the canton of Zug (UID CHE-420.310.730, commercial register CH-170.3.046.341-8, registered office Dorfstrasse 38, 6340 Baar, Switzerland). You can verify the company in the official Swiss UID register, and read about our recovery work in Fortune and Cointelegraph.

Pricing: no recovery, no fee

Case assessment is free. If we take your case, the fee is 20% of the recovered value, payable only on success โ€” no upfront payment and no minimum fee. Before any work begins you can book a free video call to meet us and ask questions; for larger cases an in-person meeting in Zurich can be arranged.

Wallets supported

  • Multibit Classic (Legacy) โ€” .wallet / .key files
  • Multibit HD โ€” 12โ€“18 word seed / mbhd.wallet.aes
  • Multidoge (the Dogecoin version of Multibit)

What to include in your first message

To assess your case quickly, tell us as much of the following as you can:

  • Which wallet you have โ€” Multibit Classic (.wallet / .key files) or Multibit HD (seed words / mbhd.wallet.aes).
  • What is blocking you โ€” a forgotten password, a wallet that will not open, or missing files.
  • Whether you still have the wallet file or a backup folder, and where they came from (old laptop, external drive, backup).
  • Anything you remember about the password: rough length, capitals, numbers, symbols, language, or words and dates you commonly use.
  • The approximate balance and when you last accessed the wallet โ€” this helps us judge whether a success-fee recovery makes sense for you.

Never send us your actual seed phrase, private keys, or wallet password. We do not need your secrets to assess whether recovery is possible, and you should be wary of anyone who asks for them up front. If we take your case, we will ask only for the encrypted wallet file, over a channel agreed with you.

How recovery works

After you describe your case, we explain whether recovery looks feasible and how the process would work. We specialise in encryption and password-recovery problems that generic “crypto recovery” services cannot handle, including non-English and Mac-typed passwords. Not sure where to start?
