What to include in your first message
To assess your case quickly, tell us as much of the following as you can:
- Which wallet you have — Multibit Classic (
.wallet/.keyfiles) or Multibit HD (seed words /mbhd.wallet.aes). - What is blocking you — a forgotten password, a wallet that will not open, or missing files.
- Anything you remember about the password: rough length, capitals, numbers, symbols, language, or words and dates you commonly use.
- What files you still have and where they came from (old laptop, external drive, backup).
Never send us your actual seed phrase, private keys, or wallet password. We do not need your secrets to assess whether recovery is possible, and you should be wary of anyone who asks for them up front.
How recovery works
After you describe your case, we explain whether recovery looks feasible and how the process would work. We specialise in encryption and password-recovery problems that generic “crypto recovery” services cannot handle, including non-English and Mac-typed passwords. Not sure where to start?
